HISTORY.
Project HOPE was founded by the late Dr Robert LaSalle in 1983 with a vision to improve access to cancer care and screenings for Wabash County residents. His goal was to supplement cancer patient care at Wabash County Hospital and allow more cancer patients to get treatment in their local community.
Dr LaSalle was instrumental in recruiting oncologist Dr William Dugan to open a practice and provide cancer care in Wabash County. Dr Dugan today leads the board of HOPE Foundation as the group continues their mission to offer financial help for medication and transportation costs for cancer patients, access to free cancer screenings and prevention education.
